Legendary Ivorian striker, Didier Drogba has shared photos from his youth at US Dunkirk.

The former Ivorian captain left Africa at a very young age for France, where he started his football at US Dunkirk.

In a post on social mediaDrogba revealed how it all started, as he played grassless pitches at Stamford Bridge.

Drogba spent most of his early career at Dunkirk before joining Le Mans to start his professional career.

He moved to Guingamp in 2002 and after showing enormous talent, moved to Olympique de Marseille the following year. He left for Chelsea after a successful campaign at Marseille.

Drigba became a legend after an initial eight-year stint with the Blues, where he won several titles including the UEFA Champions League.

He played 105 times for Ivory Coast, scoring 65 goals before retiring.

Peter Drury names Drogba as one of the greatest African players to play in England

Earlier, sports briefs reported that popular football commentator Peter Drury mentioned Mohamed Salah and Didier Drogba as some of the greatest Africans he has seen playing in the English Premier League.
