Fantasy football 2022 rankings: PPR’s best players heading into the season

Pre-season football has begun and that means it’s time to put your fantasy football research into hyperdrive. And when you’re trying to make tight choices, you’ll probably have to do some research, because there are only a handful you can really rely on.

Those few reliable tight ends start with Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews, who are their own level and are the only tight ends worth considering in the first round. Kelce gets the go-ahead between the two based on a much heavier offense and the loss of Tyreek Hill this offseason. Andrews and the Ravens traded Marquise Brown, so Andrews is also in a favorable position for targets, but Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are much more likely to throw the ball.

After those two it gets a little more dicey, but Kyle Pitts, George Kittle, and Darren Waller are still worth grabbing if they drop a bit of their ADP. After that, I expect Robert Tonyan, Irv Smith Jr., Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper and Hayden Hurst. And I’m probably going to grab two of these guys in the hope that one actually breaks out.
