Romeo Doubs receives praise from Aaron Rodgers

Fantastic Impact: Doubs, a fourth-round pick from Nevada, made a positive impression on the Packers coaching staff and Aaron Rodgers this offseason. Earning praise from a Hall of Fame quarterback is always good, but it’s especially telling because Rodgers rarely talks about rookies. The Doubs could end up playing a much bigger role than many drafts at a position wide open for Green Bay.

Jeremy Ruckert added to active roster

Fantastic Impact: Ruckert had to deal with a foot injury this offseason, but he’s been activated and looks ready to practice. He’ll have to fight for a spot behind CJ Uzomah and Jack Conklin, and he probably won’t have much fantasy value unless there’s an unforeseen injury.

Alec Pierce continues to work with the first team

Fantastic impact: Pierce, a rookie pick for the Colts this year, continues to have an impressive offseason in Indianapolis. He’s already proven himself to have quality talent, but now he’s boosting the confidence of the coaching staff and quarterback Matt Ryan, which is invaluable to his prospects. Pierce could end up being a very valuable fantasy pick if he’s a starter for the team.

Kyle Philips gets reps with the first team

Titans rookie WR Kyle Philips got reps with the first team in practice as a wide receiver. (Source: Terry McCormick on Twitter)

Fantastic Impact: Philips was a late pick for the Titans in the draft this year, but it looks like he’s impressing the coaching staff as they give him first-team reps. Tennessee is thin at wide receiver, so if he can step in and play a starting role, that would be very positive for the team. For fantasy purposes, he might find streaming value if he can actually become a starter in this offense.
