When does the 2022 NFL regular season start?

The 2022 NFL season begins Thursday, September 8, as the Los Angeles Rams host the Buffalo Bills at SoFi Stadium. For the second time in a row, the season will start in the same stadium where it ended.

After this first game, we only have three days to look forward to more NFL action. There are 14 games split between the three windows on Sunday, September 11. The first Sunday of the NFL season ends with the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a repeat of the 2021 NFL season opener.

There is then only one Monday Night Football game in Week 1, and that should definitely make for an interesting watch. Former Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is bringing his Denver Broncos back to Seattle to face the team that traded him this offseason. The atmosphere of this match should be something to complete the first week of the season.
