Labuan Bajo, E Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has pledged to optimize more tourist attractions outside Komodo National Park to attract domestic and foreign tourists to Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara.
“The ministry’s task now is to promote and develop new (tourist) destinations to provide more alternatives and activities beyond Komodo National Park in Labuan Bajo,” said Shana Fatina, president of the Executive Agency of the Authority of Labuan Bajo Flores (BPOLBF). , Friday.
Fatina said that to maximize tourism potentials in the Flores, Alor, Lembata and Bima regions of the province – abbreviated to Floratama – the agency has offered new family travel packages to travel agents and operators to present to tourists of new products, such as weaving, conservation and religious tourism.

With the existing database of Floratama area, the agency will provide recommendations on the tourism model, the choice of tourist attraction, the best time to visit and the routes to the tourist attraction, the president explained. -director.
Besides introducing new tourism potentials, BPOLBF has also encouraged travel agencies and operators to participate in various training programs to connect them with tourist villages and enable them to offer tourist village tours to tourists. , she noted.

Fatina pointed out that since Labuan Bajo has been developed as the gateway and tourism hub of East Nusa Tenggara, the government is working to boost visits by domestic and foreign tourists to the region. .
“Therefore, we will no longer be confined to the idea that Komodo National Park is the only tourist destination in Labuan Bajo,” she explained.

The president-director pointed out that the ministry also supported the Golo Koe festival organized by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ruteng from August 8 to 15.
