Netflix Bets On Lesbian Vampire Series ‘First Kill’ After One Season
Netflix has banked on “First Kill,” deciding not to pick up the teen vampire series for a second season. The news comes nearly two months after the streamer debuted all eight episodes of the show’s first season in early June.
Sources close to the matter maintain that Netflix “is proud of the work that the producers, cast and crew put into the series,” although the decision came down to a question of viewing numbers versus cost. In other words, take it from a fellow lesbian, sucked. Not everyone agreed. Enjoy the tears.
No, this is ridiculous, we have to fight ?

I woke up and felt like a dream for a second that Netflix decided to cancel a fun show about lesbian vampires whose numbers were surprisingly better than the renewed shows. The data proves misogynistic homophobia and casual racism. First Kill fans are going to make the company suffer forever ??♀️

vampire relationships, they’ve been around forever, there was never a fucking lesbian vampire show before this and yet despite all the views and interactions, even without promotion, Netflix decided to cancel it without even giving a real reason ?

…to the writers, to the crew, to the people who touched those shows. Like OFMD? Hell Netflix and black lesbian vampires.
When you judge them on mass market metrics and cancel them, the niche that cared about those shows takes a hit, and it’s no wonder they lose subscribers anyway.

So go cancel Netflix then, gorgeous.
Based on a short story by horror writer VE Schwab, “First Kill” follows Calliope (Imani Lewis) and Juliette (Sarah Catherine Hook), two teenagers who fall in love but come from feuding families: one is a dynasty of hunters of vampires. , the other a line of bloodsuckers.
The series also starred Elizabeth Mitchell, Will Swenson, Aubion Wise, Jason Robert Moore, Gracie Dzienny, Dylan McNamara, Dominic Goodman, Phillip Mullings Jr., MK xyz, Jonas Dylan Allen, and Roberto Méndez. Felicia D. Henderson and Schwab executive produced, along with Emma Roberts and Karah Preiss for Belletrist Productions.
And everyone should be ashamed of themselves for such a poor quality product.
