Science and Storytellers: TheBurg Podcast, January 2023

We start a new year talking about climate change, science and storytelling. Climate change is a new topic for TheBurg in 2023, and we look forward to exploring the topic, both on the podcast and in the magazine, through a special six-part series.

A special thanks to the sponsor of the January podcast, Mechanicsburg Fleet Feetannouncing the grand opening of their Fleet Feet Harrisburg location in February 2023.

Guests include:

Greg Czarnecki, Director of Applied Climate Sciences for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. He explains how his mother influenced her career in climate science (really!) and explains how each of us has the ability to influence climate change. We hope to feature climate change guests on TheBurg Podcast throughout 2023, alongside TheBurg Magazine’s six-part climate change series.

Jessica Rudy, Director of Marketing and Group Sales for the Majestic Theater at Gettysburg College. She describes the incredible importance and impact of the work of 40 years of filmmaker Ken Burns, because the first Ken Burns Film Festival is taking place in Gettysburg this February.

Juan Maietta, who has launched a prosperous career as a speaker/presenter. He has mastered a host of pop culture and history subjects, at the age of 72. On the podcast, he even talks about his brush with “Jeopardy” fame.
