A GROUP of friends visited the miraculous Simala Shrine in Sibonga, Cebu to get a spiritual boost.

Catherine Canto, who hails from Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City and has now been based in Tokyo, Japan since 2007, has returned to Bacolod after eight long years.

Canto, along with his longtime best friends Jeffrey Javines and others, traveled to Simala to visit the Miraculous Church and soon returned to Bacolod afterwards.

Known to many as one of Cebu’s finest churches, Simala Shrine is a place of pilgrimage for worshipers.

The Miraculous Church of Mother Mary after the statue of the Virgin Mary housed in the shrine was seen crying, and from then on it attracted hundreds of people every day.

They hope their prayers will be answered, and yes, many testimonies reveal that their prayers have been answered, whether it’s winning the election, passing the licensing exam, having a child, etc

Simala remains not only a pilgrimage but also a tourist attraction.

Traveling from Bacolod City to Sibonga, Cebu to visit Simala, the girls had high hopes that whatever their wishes were would be granted. These are just one of the few things a devotee feels and keeps in his heart when going to the shrine.

Whatever their desires and wishes, their hope and faith told them that if they sought they would find, if they knocked they would open, and if they asked they would give.
